Amanda Behnen, PA-C

Amanda (Altgilbers) Behnen, PA-C grew up in St. Louis before attending undergrad at The University of Alabama. She graduated summa cum laude, with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, with minors in biology and psychology in May 2016. She enjoyed being an active participant in many campus organizations, including Mortar Board Honor Society, Honors College, UA for St. Jude, and the Pre-Physician Assistant Society.
Amanda then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, where she graduated in December 2018. She had special interests in her clinical rotations in dermatology and surgery and is thrilled to be practicing them now as a board-certified PA with Dr. George and Dr. Moritz. She is passionate about skin cancer prevention and helping her patients feel like their best selves.

Outside of the office, you can find Amanda and her husband, Jeremy, at almost any St. Louis sporting event. They enjoy playing sand volleyball and softball with friends and also participating at their CrossFit gym. She is obsessed with their doodle, Dixie. She is also an active member of the UA Alumni Chapter in St. Louis, previously serving as co-president, and is known to visit Tuscaloosa whenever she gets the chance. She is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and a member of the Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants.
